Nest Partners With LG, Philips Hue and 13 Other Companies

Nest, of Google, has been doing its best in connecting every gadget you own to its platform and the journey is being carried forward with the partnership with 15 other partners.

The new partners include companies building fridges to light bulbs and they will partner under Works With Nest developer program.

Nest has already announced five partnerships with companies like Jawbone, whose activity tracker can communicate with Nest's thermostat to let it know when you wake up and go to sleep.

Companies among the newly announced partnership include: August smart lock, Automatic driving assistant, Insteon, LG appliances, Lutron, Ooma Telo, Philips Hue, Unikey / Kevo smart lock, Withings Aura sleep system.

The new partnership will ultimately make your home smarter. For instance, when you leave home, Nest will tell your LG fridge to go into energy saving mode. August Smart Locks can tell Nest thermostat to adjust temperature when you get in your home.

Nest also announced that 10 percent of Nest customers are using the integrations already. The company has total 5,000 developers working on projects.
