"Mortal Kombat X" is one of the most popular video games in the world. It became so famous that gamers are now pushing the game developer to expand its capabilities such as adding new features and more characters. But it seems that the expansion gamers are requesting will have to wait until after the release of "Injustice 2" which is slated in 2017.

There Is No Reason Given By The Game Developer

The game developer has not given a reason why the expansion of "Mortal Kombat X" has been delayed. Ed Boon, the game creator, has responded to the fans' clamor and concerns about its release. When he was asked through a Twitter post about the release date of the game, Boon just said he is still trying to find where the "RELEASE key" button is on his keyboard.

With this kind of response, many players of "Mortal Kombat X" are a bit disappointed. It seems that they disapprove of the recent attitude that the creator of the game has displayed. This led some to speculate that the reason why the developer's attitude shifted is because the company is now concentrating on its forthcoming games for 2017.

The Game Developer Appears To Be Concentrating On "Injustice 2"

It appears that NetherRealm Studios has focused its efforts completely on "Injustice 2." This video game is a fighting game on a DC crossover universe. It features an assortment of DC superheroes and villains. With the company fully concentrated on this upcoming game, players of "Mortal Kombat X" felt they were left out and betrayed.

But the Attack of the FanBoy website has taken a more pragmatic approach to the situation. The site said not everyone in NetherRealm Studios is exclusively working on "Injustice 2." However, this even started other concerns that a potential game flaw could be causing the launch date delay of "Mortal Kombat X." Still, the die-hard fans are waiting and hoping that their favorite video game will see the light of day soon.
