After the rather disappointing confirmation from Motorola that Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus will get the much awaited Android 7.0 Nougat update, fans are still left waiting for the update to happen this December. The Lenovo-owned company promised a Q4 release but to no avail.

Motorola has already released its Android 7.0 Nougat update for Moto Z and Moto Z force but Moto G and Moto G4 users are still waiting for theirs. The company confirmed, however, that it has not provided a firmware update for the two devices yet.

Users of Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus were even expecting the Android Nougat update over-the-air and will even come before Moto Z. However, the Moto Z handsets got the update and the Moto G4 models were left out.

Now, fans are upset since they have also been waiting for the Moto G and Moto G4 Android 7.0 Nougat update. Motorola has not confirmed when exactly they would release its update but it is confirmed that the company will release it soon and may even be before December ends.

Mobipicker revealed that the Lenovo-owned company will also provide a scheduled update for  Moto G Play (4th Gen), Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen), Moto X Play, Moto X Force, Moto X Style, Droid Turbo 2, Droid Maxx 2, Moto Z Play Droid, Moto Z Play and Nexus 6. However, the company did not reveal when it would be.

While 2016 has not ended yet, there is still hope that Motorola will finally provide its Android 7.0 Nougat update before the year ends. If the company is true to its posting the Q4 update may still come true this December.

Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus users are still optimistic that Motorola will finally give them a possible update soon enough.  Moto Z, Moto Z Force, Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Droid Force already received their update so it won't be long before the rest follows.
