According to some local business community who were encouraged by the news that Donald Trump and Mike Pence - the president- and vice president-elect - have convinced Carrier Corp. to move over 2000 jobs from Indiana to Mexico.

According to officials with transition team as well as the Carrier, on Thursday, Donald Trump and Mike Pence, Indiana's governor and the vice president-elect, plan to meet at Carrier's Indianapolis plant to announce their deal with the company to keep a majority of jobs in the country.

Donald Trump and Mike Pence are expected to make a clear decision on their campaign pledges and to be friendlier in the business by easing the regulation and overtaking the corporate tax code, in exchange for keeping the factory running in Indianapolis, according to a spokeswoman for Donald Trump.

Donald Trump will work on altering the economic forces that have hammered the Rust Belt for years. His powerful tactical strike to reverse course by forcing Carrier and its parent company, United Technologies, will strengthen up his base before landing into the White House.

By keeping his political strategy aside, saving 1000 carrier jobs doesn't appear so hard in an economy that has established an average 181000 jobs per month in 2016 Jared Bernstein, an economist who served as an adviser in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2011.

Still, he confessed an admiration for Trump's policies. "If I weren't so scared of the damage a Trump administration might do, I'd find it refreshing to see an administration fighting for factory jobs like this," he said. "That said, no one should confuse what Trump is doing here with sustainable economic policy."
