The results of the 2016 United States Presidential Election did not appeal to many citizens which triggered multiple rallies across the country. It seems other than protesting on the streets some have urged Hillary Clinton to pursue a recount of votes instead.

The Democratic Party Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is being asked to join an organized coalition that aims to expose the irregularities of the polls. The said group is hoping that their concerns would reach the federal authorities and the congress committee.

According to Headlines & Global News, there are highly contested areas such as Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. The report that the said organization was able to put together discusses the results gathered in these areas.

Hillary Clinton is around 30,000 votes behind Donald Trump and the results gathered in Michigan and Wisconsin may prove vital to swing the election tally. According to New York Times, J. Alex Halderman from the University of Michigan shared his thoughts on Medium saying that the pre-election polls could have been systematically wrong. Moreover, the best way to pursue this recount is to examine the paper ballots as well as the voting equipment used in the highly contested states.

Meanwhile, the supporters of Hillary Clinton are not giving up, especially since inequity is evident in the national popular vote, whereas the democratic candidate has a somewhat growing lead. The said lead is now more than two million votes which is around 1.5 percent of the total number of ballots.
