On Thanksgiving, the 9-year-old autistic nephew of the former NBA player Marcus Camby went missing. The festive celebration was held at the Camby's residence, in Texas.

Marcus McGhee went missing around 4 in the afternoon. In the reports, the child is said to be special and nonverbal. He was celebrating Thanksgiving together with his family and with his uncle.

The child was suffering from autism Spectrum Disorder. McGhee traveled from Connecticut to Texas for the celebration of Thanksgiving. The Pearland police, Lieutenant Onesimo Lopez confirmed that McGhee's body was found around 7 in the morning, Saturday, in an L-shaped lake near the Camby's Houston residence.

Reports show that before he went missing, he was having fun with other eight children. The whole family didn't have an idea that McGhee was missing until around 4:15 in the afternoon. They began looking for him, unfortunately, the house has a lot of rooms and places which the young boy can hide. They searched the property until the authorities finally arrived.

According to Chron, the security camera captured McGhee for a couple of seconds as he went out through the side door. When police found the child's body, Lopez said that there was neither any signs of life nor foul play.

Together with the government Coast Guard and authorities, volunteers, and numbers of people helped searched for the missing child. Around 7 in the morning, the body was found floating in the private lake.

At the Pearland Dad's Club, a vigil was held around 6:00 pm. "Even in the midst of such tragedy, there is so much to be thankful for," the Pearland Police Department's senior chaplain, Pastor Keith Anderson, told the crowd. "For everyone who searched for Marcus, thanks. But I want you to under-stand, life now goes on," he added.
