Eight months have already passed since the official release of the online multiplayer video game “Tom Clancy’s The Division”. It was greeted with a huge audience but as soon as competitions such as video games like “Overwatch” was then released, it has kind of lied low for a while with few loyal players keeping it alive. But that did not stop the developers from making it better as the latest update from Ubisoft might just have given the "The Division" a chance to regain its huge audience.

“Tom Clancy’s The Division” just released its new patch, which revealed “Survival”. It is an update that includes the new survival game mode. “Survival” was initially scheduled to release in the summer but was delayed, along with the “Last Stand” patch, because Ubisoft explained it had to focus and fix the issues such as balancing and bugs found in the core game.

The “Survival” patch update was made available for PC and Xbox One on Nov. 22. It was announced that the patch for PlayStation will follow on a later date. Aside from the basic bug fixes, the patch revealed new changes especially updating the game to accommodate a large number of players for one session.

The official page for the patch notes of the new “Tom Clancy’s The Division” update has revealed that the new survival mode will cater up to 24 players and will take place in a modified version of Manhattan. The said mode will offer a tougher experience with survival mechanics and permanent death for the player’s character. The World Tier 5 bracket has been updated with lever 34 NPCs and maximum gear score of up to 256.

Along with that, Named Gears have now enabled wherein only one piece is available so far for each gear slot. It is said that each Named Gear comes with a unique talent, which can be very useful in the new survival mode. The said new gears can only be obtained through the Survival game mode or in World Tier 5.

The full and in-depth details regarding the recent patch notes can be viewed on the video game’s official website. “Tom Clancy’s The Division” is a multiplayer third-person shooter game that requires an online connection for one to play. It was developed and published by Ubisoft and was released worldwide in March 2016.
