Palm - the company that made the PDA a must-have item in the 1990s - might be coming back to life. The hints were obtained from the redirection of palm.com website to mynewpalm.com

The redirection, first noticed by webOSNation.com is applied on any subdomain of the URL palm.com

The new site only contains a familiar Palm logo along with the text, that alternates between "Coming Soon" and "Smart Move." The new domain mynewpalm.com is owned by Wide Progress Global Limited.

Another document surfaced that revealed that HP after buying Palm in 2010 for $2.1bn has transferred all of its worldwide Palm trademarks to Wide Progress Global - a company incorporated in British Virgin Islands.

A point worth noting is "Smart Move" phrase also happens to be the slogan of Alcatel One Touch - a Chinese smartphone brand, marketed by electronics and outfit company TCL.

Another evidence that makes it more clear that Alcatel One Touch owns the Palm brand is, Nicolas Zibell who signed the trademark transfer document on behalf of Wide Progress Global just happens to have the same name as the senior VP and general manager of Americas for TCL Communication Technology Holdings, who was previously president of Americas and Pacific for Alcatel One Touch, The Register noted

TCL Corporation will be making its presence at CES 2015, happening next week. We believe that the company will use the platform to showcase some Palm-labelled devices.
