After waiting for almost 5 years, The Last Guardian finally gets a confirmed release date and even launched a stunning gameplay trailer to remind the waiting fans that it's definitely not over for the PS4 Exclusive. As a game that reached gold, it will no longer need day one or major patches to run properly. It has undergone a lot of tests to make it good enough for public use.

To keep the hype coming, Sony Japan released a lengthy gameplay video for The Last Guardian, estimated to be around 8 minutes long by the way, which highlighted the spectacular visuals that this action-adventure game can offer. Set as a narrative retelling by an old man wherein he nostalgically recalls his experience as a young boy meeting an incredible griffin-like giant of a creature, The Last Guardian trailer never failed to put everyone in awe.

Trico, The Last Guardian's scarily-big-yet-adorable monster, looks more loveable than ever. The interaction between the mystical creature and the boy (unnamed as of this writing) makes everyone wishing to have a magical friendship just like that. A glimpse of some of the platform puzzles is also present on the featured footage. Previous game previews have shown that both boy and Trico will need to work together, sharing their unique skill sets and abilities in order to solve one obstacle at a time.

A bit of history

Fans of The Last Guardian have been on and off interested about the game to the point that its gold release didn't make much of an impact today. It started at 2011 when the game was announced to be released for the PlayStation 3. The game has been suffering a lot of postponements since then until fans forgot about it due to other video games rising and stirring up new hypes. The game is still hoped to be anticipated fairly despite the disappointments about its many delays.

The Last Guardian will roll out for the PS4 on Dec. 6, and is an exclusive for the console. A possible PS4 Pro version is also speculated to be out later.
