'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Guide: All the Best Pokemon Found in Poni Island and Where to Catch Them

Poni Island is one of the four major islands in “Pokemon Sun and Moon” and it is the home of very strong and the most sought after Pokemon in the game. So this guide provides a list of those Pokemon and where to find them exactly. This includes the location where rare Pokemon Trumbeak can be found.

Pokemon Found in Poni Wilds

In Poni Wilds, players can catch different Pokemon depending on the time of visit and activity. During the daytime, players can find Gumshoos while Raticate only comes out at night. The rest, Pelipper, Gastrodon, Wimpod, Crabrawler, can be found at any time of the day. Best Pokemon in this area is Wimpod and Exeggcute which are in the top 5 strongest Pokemon. Relicanth can only be found here when the player is fishing and Tentacruel, Lapras and Lumineon while surfing.

Pokemon Found in Vast Poni Canyon

Again, different Pokemon spawn in this area depending on the time of visit. Sableye only comes out at night, Carbing during the day while Hakamo-o and Kommo-o during SOS battle only. Dratini and Dragonair can only be encountered when fishing and Golduck when surfing. For Boldore, Machoke, GOlbat, Lycanroc, Skarmony, Murkrow, Jangmo-o, they can be caught at any time of the day.

Pokemon Found in Poni Grove, Plains, Gauntlet, Breaker Coast and Meadow

In Poni Grove, players will find Riolu, Lucario, and CHansey during SOS battle, and of course Trumbeak who is one of the strongest Pokemon in “Pokemon Sun and Moon”. Then in Poni Plains, players will encounter Militank, Hypno, Tauros, Mudsdale, Primeape, Hariyama, and Scyther. Cottonee and Braviary can also be found here but only for Pokemon Sun players. Pokemon Moon, on the other hand, can get Petilil and Mandibuzz.

Two Pokemon can be found in Poni Gauntlet and that’s Bewear and Dragonite during SOS battles. For Poni Meadows, players will only get Ocricorio and Ribombee only in “Pokemon Sun and Moon”. Then there’s Poni Breaker Coast that got a lot of Sharpedos.

Pokemon Found in Seafolk Village and Resolution Cave

In Seafolk Village of “Pokemon Sun and Moon”, players will not only find Magikarp but also its evolve, Gyarados. There is also lot os Wailord, Wailmer and Dhelmise. Then in Resolution Cave, players will find quite a number of Crobats during SOS battle.
