‘Refurbished Samsung Note 7’: Is Samsung Planning to Bring The Device Back Under Refurbished Phones? Rumors Say So

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 explosions and subsequent withdrawal of the phone from the market is considered to be one of the biggest tech disasters in recent history. Will these recalled devices appear as "refurbished Note 7" in the market? The rumors are spreading that it would be introduced as a refurbished device.

There are rumors suggesting the possibility of refurbished Note 7. Samsung has sold almost 2.5 million devices globally and it would be understandable for them to try to recoup their losses. Most of these devices have been returned and now the company would have looked on what went wrong with the device. If the team specifically detects the issue, they would make a solution to rectify it for testing purpose.

Since a huge number of devices are with Samsung, it has three options, either include the hardware parts in other devices, dispose it or rectify the problem encountered and introduce as refurbished Note 7. Including the hardware parts in other devices is not easy and needs a lot of redesigns and additional work. Even disposing won't leave anything for Samsung, but it should also bear disposal costs.

When it comes to introducing as refurbished Note 7 after resolving what went wrong with the devices, Samsung can mitigate the loss incurred in the bid. It should be noted that Samsung introduced refurbished Note 3 in the market recently. The introduction could be a hint of what can be expected in future.

Chinese smartphones are sold with excellent specs but at a lesser price in the market is a fact and Samsung would try to please those customers with the device. The refurbished Note 7 can compete with these devices and sell it in large numbers if the device is tested and proved that its defect has been resolved.

 There are news reports also suggesting the possible introduction of refurbished Note 7. It is reported that the device can be expected in 2017. The phone is already reported as an outstanding device per tech reviews when introduced. The refurbished introduction might attract people due to the specs and features it offers.
