Several reports have posited Samsung Galaxy S8 as the next smartphone to watch, based on the rumored specs and features of the handset. The phone is said to have some snazzy accessories that are aimed to regain the consumers' confidence and trust in the brand.

According to Forbes magazine, Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a protective cover that is clear-view to enable users to see what is going on. The Galaxy S8 might also feature the curiously titled keyboard cover and LED cover for an instant view of the notifications.

Game & Guide reported that Galaxy S8 will be sold in two versions - one with a QHD 5.1-inch screen and another with a bigger screen at 4K 5.5-inch display. Lee Kyeong-tae, vice president of Samsung Mobile, hinted at these features, giving the phone a very sleek and sexy design.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 handset will be powered by a Snapdragon Qualcomm octa-core 3.2 GHz processor. It is rumored that a Siri-like virtual assistant will be a major attraction for the Galaxy S8 as well as an optical fingerprint scanner that will put it as one of the most innovative smartphones yet.

Improved camera quality is another selling point for the Samsung Galaxy S8 handset. The Galaxy S8's better lens will provide 18 and 24MP picture qualities for the back and front cameras, respectively. The phone's battery will have a 3,000 mAh power source.

It was reported that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will have no physical home button. Samsung plans to embed the home button on the phone's screen. This feature is also hinted by the makers of iPhone 8.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be launched at the 2017 Mobile World Congress that will run between February and March. The phone is estimated to cost around $850, which is cheaper than iPhones.
