‘The Walking Dead’ Game Season 3 Update: Release Date Delayed

"The Walking Dead' game series will be crawling worldwide on its season three premiere on December 20 as announced by Telltale. "A New Frontier" was supposed to have its premiere this month.

According to IGN, the first episode of the game will also be available for purchase digitally for $4.99 on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, iOS, and Android.

On the other hand, having access to all five episodes of the third season as they are released through a Season Pass will cost $24.99.

The site also indicated that physical copies of "The Walking Dead" game Season Pass will be released by Telltale on February 7 next year. The disc will be containing the first episode and access to episodes 2-5 as they were released. Pre-order for the disc compatible for Xbox One and PS4 is now open for $29.99.

"A New Frontier" will once again star Clementine who jumps ahead four years in the future as described by The Verge. Clementine will be joined by a new game character named Javier, a young man determined to find his family which was taken from him, "Her name is Clementine, and your fates are bound together in a story where every choice you make could be your last," as described by Telltale.

The news site reports that "A New Frontier" will play out like an interactive drama just like the rest of "The Walking Dead" series and all of Telltale's games.

The first details of the game were revealed by Telltale back at E3, followed by the first poster released at Comic-Com and the official title at PAX. Next week, "The Walking Dead" game fans will be able to watch the extended game play of "A New Frontier" at The Game Awards.

In the meantime, fans who are still waiting for the release date of the series may watch "The Walking Dead's" Michone spinoff and Telltale's "Batman."
