Everyone has been through a tough and most divisive campaign during the election for presidency recently. Moving on from the Election Day is the mind state of the people today, trying to absorb and accept all the possible changes that might be implemented.

The best time to begin all that too is on Thanksgiving Day! It will take place on November 24, 2016, and will be observed by all levels of the government, public and private businesses and schools as well.

It is the oldest tradition of the nation and one of the most family-oriented holidays where Americans bring their selves together and focus on those moments that they were blessed as Americans and on what unified them and not on what separates them.

They may disagree on some point and choices but the fact that they were given a chance to voice out their opinions in other ways is also one of the reasons for them to be thankful, the time where they appreciate and acknowledge all the goodness that life has given them.

It all started with Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the United States of America's proclamation day in 1863. Since then, the nation has built its unimpaired string in celebrating Thanksgiving Day. It is in their tradition where families and other people giving food or dinners to the needy, and offer other things that might be of help to others, attending church services where they thank god for the blessings and feasting on large dinners and leftovers for the days and weeks to come.

Turkey is always the centerpiece on every American table during Thanksgiving. They spent over $2.9 billion for millions of turkey in a year. After all, it is still a time where they share love and happiness around the nation.
