The gamers of "Pokémon GO" have a great news that the developer, Niantic is scheduling a Thanksgiving XP Event similar to Halloween Special Event from Nov. 23. Interestingly, the new update brings changes in CP and adds Ditto as a character in the mobile game. The surprise move is expected to bring back the dormant gamers to the platform and make other gamers more engaged in the game.

The Thanksgiving XP Event for Pokémon GO starts from Nov. 23 at 00:00 UTC till 30th 00:00 UTC. During the period, the gamers will receive double the amount of XP and Stardust while gaming. It is quite different from Halloween Special Event, which offered double candy throughout the game, now making the event more simplistic. The event is completely about the double bonuses for XP and Stardust, the two point or currency categories in Pokémon GO.

Interestingly, the new update on Pokémon GO has changed the CP structure, with an increase or decrease in CP on every Pokemon in the game. The changes make Rhydon, a very powerful Pokemon collection and other monsters including Kingler, and Pinsir also got upgrade in the CP structure. The new updates in Pokémon GO may hammer the strategy based combat system to a mere combat activity per experts.

Additionally, the new update has brought Ditto into Pokemon list and it was a long waited addition to the game. The purple blob in Pokémon GO has a unique ability that it can transform to the Pokemon in the battling, this adds the fun of adding it in later stages. The Ditto in Pokémon GO won't be seen as itself and would look like a rattata, pidgey or other Pokemon, and once the gamer caught, it will show up as Ditto, is it adds surprise to the game?

The Thanksgiving XP Event and update news have made many fans crazy about Pokémon GO and they are responding in social media with posts and comments. It is important to issue updates, introduce new characters like Ditto and conduct special events in case of mobile games, as the platform is not a fixed one like the gaming console though more vast, and Niantic knows well this fact.
