‘La La Land’ Actress Emaa StoneTo Host SNL; ‘Treat You Better’ Singer Shawn Mendez Stars As Musical Guest

"Saturday Night Live" affirmed on Twitter the actress Emma Stone will return to the late-night series. Stone will show up on the show December 3 along with musical guest Shawn Mendes.

With Stone slated to join "Saturday Night Live" for its 42nd season, the series has increased another top pick ability. The long-running show has as of now had hosts like Margot Robbie, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Blunt, Tom Hanks, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dave Chappelle, and more. In addition, for musical guests, Mendes will join a rundown which incorporates acts like The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and others.

Apparently, fans already know that the performer has a long history with "Saturday Night Live". She initially hosted a scene back in October 2011 and called the week one of the best in her life in this way. She then facilitated again the following year, cameoed in a scene in 2014, and showed up in the series' 40th-anniversary episode.

Right now, Stone is gearing up to promote her coming film 'La Land' with co-star Ryan Gosling. The film will see Stone plays a trying performing artist, and it will include unique music and the actress' future films include the sports-comedy Battle of the Sexes, Love May Fail, and a live-action adaptation of One Hundred and One Dalmatians in which she will play as Cruella de Vil.  

Meanwhile, fresh from his successful performance at the American Music Awards last Nov. 20, singer Shawn Mendes will top off as the musical guest on the Dec. 3 scene of Saturday Night Live. Fans are hoping that this guesting will not be far and few between.

After having Kristen Wiig and The xx throughout the end of the week, SNL is taking a week off for Thanksgiving. To commend the occasion, the show is set to air a two-hour special episode on Wednesday, November 23.
