'Westworld' Episode 08.01 'Trace Decay' Recap, Spoilers & Updates; Huge Clue That Confirms A Major Fan Theory
As more "Westworld" episodes air, viewers are getting more questions than answers. The complexities of different plots, subplots, timelines, characters and other mysteries keep on piling up. Will the recent "Westworld" episode "Trace Decay" be the same story? Or will it start unveiling questions?

Maeve Gaining Control
Maeve is gaining more control of her mind, becoming more powerful than ever. In the latest "Westworld" episode, her feisty attitude prevented Sylvester and Felix from wiping her out, in turn slashing Sylvester's throat and threatening them both. Maeve doesn't just want to leave "Westworld," she wants to recruit troops to help her escape. Knowing that hosts have implants that switch off upon leaving the park, she took the chance to slash Sylvester's throat and threaten Felix. As Felix cauterizes Sylvester's wound, Maeve reveals her plans. Maeve was then given the power to control other hosts. The "Westworld" episode reveals Maeve's tricks of using voice commands on other hosts. But, her memories are muddled. Soon, she is blacking out, seeing the Man In Black and slashing his throat only to find out that the throat was actually Clementine's.
William & the Man In Black
The Man In Black is probably the most mysterious in the "Westworld" season one. The episode reveals a huge clue that could confirm a big fan theory - that the MIB is William in a different timeline.
Teddy and the MIB were attacked by a young woman, and the attacker was familiar to the MIB. The attacker was Angela, the lady dressed in white that assisted William before entering the park. The MIB said that he thought Ford retired her and that maybe Ford doesn't waste a pretty face. Is the MIB remembering the woman that he met before taking the train for the park?
Dolores & Bernard
Dolores arrives in a place where she called "home." There was a flashback with hosts dancing in the streets when Arnold was still alive, but suddenly disappears and the church is once again buried. Dolores exclaims that she can't distinguish real from memory, anymore. As it turns out, the "home" that she was referring to is the bulldozed location where Ford is creating a new narrative.
With only two episodes left, the "Westworld" fans are still clamoring for questions. Who is Arnold? Will Maeve escape? Why was Elsie murdered? Are the MIB and William one and the same? Will the questions ever end?
