"Bone", the upcoming movie adaptation of the famous comic book series, has tapped Director Mark Osborne (The Little Prince and Kung Fu Panda) to take part in 'Bone'. Along with the Oscar-nominated Osborne, Adam Kline will also write the screenplay and Dan Lin's Lin Pictures will produce with Animal Logic's Zareh Nalbandian.

Besides, Warner Bros. has been attempting to adapt Jeff Smith's Eisner Award-winning comic series "Bone" for quite a long time. However, the studio has never figured out how to get the venture off the ground. P.J. Hogan was attached to direct at one point from a script written by Patrick Sean Smith, but those arrangements fell through and both Hogan and Smith left the venture.

Past adaptations of 'Bone' have slowed down as a result of creator Jeff Smith's somewhat unwillingness to permit changes to the source material. Nevertheless, Osborne has turned out to be a director with a sharp visual eye who can steadfastly adjust material with a comparable tone.

The series is the account of the three Bone cousins - Fone Bone, Phony Bone, and Smiley Bone, all little, bare and humanlike animals with huge noses who were isolated and lost in a boundless unknown place after being run out on Boneville. One by one they discover their way into a profound forested valley loaded with awesome and unnerving animals.

Fans will adore the prospect of Osborne going up against the adaptation, particularly given how much exertion he put into making 'Kung Fu Panda' and 'The Little Prince' into the awesome movies that they were. He was named for two Oscars for his endeavors, and given the blend of epic experience and carefree eccentricity. The production behind Bone is imagining it as the first film in a trilogy, so there might be significantly more to come if the first film proves itself.
