Netflix cartel series "Narcos" is renewed for two more seasons soon after delivering the death of Pablo Escobar. The finale of the second season marked the end of Medellin cartel, and the third season will be focused on the rise of yet another Narco group the Cali Cartel.

Death of Pablo Escobar in "Narcos" Never Before Told Details

The death of Pablo Escobar confirms that news that "Narcos" is not about the Medellin cartel leader. The scene where he was killed was the actual rooftop where Pablo Escobar was killed in 1993. There are theories around who killed him like suicide, Delta Force sniper, and Los Pepes. But, the cops that were on the rooftop at the time were confident that a cop gunned him down. The name Trujillo is not his real name, but is based on a real character, Eric Newman reveals. Murphy reveals who really gunned him down, but they used pen names like so when they don't have legal rights.

"Narcos" Season 3 "Cali Cartel"

The third season of "Narcos" will be focusing on the aftermath of Medellin Cartel and the rise of Cali Cartel and will start with the latter surpassing the former as a result of the death of Pablo Escobar. The storyline will be about the four Cali godfathers Gilberto, Miguel, Pancho Herrera, and "Chepe." As with the fate of Pablo Escobar, their endings will just be as bad, but how the characters get there is the fun part.

What's Next For "Narcos"

Eric Newman reveals that there would be a possibility that future seasons might feature the Mexican cartels. The Cali cartel used smuggling routes through Mexico and at the time, heroin smugglers were already rampant. So, there is a natural crossover to their cartels.

"Narcos" Season 3 will premiere in 2017. Netflix has yet to announce the official air date. For now, season two is streaming on Netflix.
