OnePlus recently launched an update of its flagship phone OnePlus 3T. In less than a year after the release of OnePlus 3, the company deemed it best to offer an upgrade. While OnePlus 3 is one of the pioneering flagship phones in 2016 with its price point for the specs and overall performance, there are doubts as to whether the update is really a souped up version of the forerunner.

Unlike the former, OnePlus 3T comes with updated Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, Quad-core Kyro, Adreno 530 CPU, and 6GB of RAM, specs similar to Google Pixel's. The screen, however, remains the same with its 5.5-inch AMOLED screen. It still has USB-C port, NFC-capable, the standard dual nano-SIM port, fingerprint scanners, and alert-slider. As previously reported, the device has 13% more battery capacity with its 3,400 mAh, 400 mAh more than the forerunner. The latest flagship phone will still employ the Dash Charge technology featured in the OnePlus 3.

The front facing camera features 16 megapixels, double the resolution of the former, but the rear facing camera stays the same. The new OnePlus 3T has electronic image stabilization algorithm, which smoothens out shaky videos. The flagship phone will come in Nougat Android OS version 7.0 with more refinements from the Android Oxygen OS overlay.

In terms of the price point, OnePlus 3T starts at $439, which is $40 more than the OnePlus 3. The storage has also been upgraded, with offerings of 64GB and 128GB options, which is the first time the company offered storage this high.

While OnePlus 3T features the same physique as the forerunner, the company added new soft gold and gunmetal gray colors. But the 64GB gunmetal gray edition will be available first upon launching, while the soft gold model will follow shortly after.

OnePlus 3T will be rolled out in the United States on November 22, 2016 and in the UK on November 28, 2016.
