'Attack On Titan: Escape From Certain Death' Available On Mar 30; Treasure & Standard Editions Come With Freebies

Koei Tecmo announced release schedule for "Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" in Japan is March 30, 2017 for its treasure and standard box editions for Nintendo 3DS. The widely distributed game adaptation of manga series has been made available in the United States beginning August 30.

Gamers who prefer to purchase the "Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" will get a visual book, copy of the game, two pieces of waterproof poster, six pieces of large tin badge, and Miksasa and Levi 3DS theme equipped with voices download codes, according to the web site Gematsu. The print copies of the manga series for treasure and standard box editions also come with Eren 3DS theme.

"Attack on Titan" manga series is about a world where humans live in enclosures, which serve as protective barrier against the titans, enormous humanoids that feed on human flesh. Illustrated and written by Hajime Isayama, the Japanese manga series is commercially successful that the creator was able to complete 20 volumes as of August this year and sold around 60 million printed copies. The manga series has also been adapted into anime movies, live-action films and video games.

Nitroplus, the developer of "Attack on Titan" for video game applications, center on the game visuals and include some spin-off characters. Though there is no specific date for release of the video game in the United States, it can be calculated that it will take long after its release in Japan based on previous distribution of the game. The "Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains" was released for Nintendo 3DS by Spike Chunsoft in May 2015 in the United States and in July in Europe.

"Attack on Titan: Howl Toward Freedom: is a social game for smart mobiles developed currently by Mobage for Android and iOS platform. The "Attack on Titan: Escape from Certain Death" is reportedly priced from $53 to $117 depending on the package.
