Just last October, Microsoft announced that they have new improvements for their first two-in-one laptop - the Surface Book. Reports say that the tech giant has yet (again) stepped up their game after a revolutionary take of innovations this year.

Microsoft reveals a revamped version of Surface Book (now with Performance Base) during a company event. The new release still has the same aesthetics as the original where users can separate the screen and turn it into a tablet, or just flip the screen to the other side for easy sketching mode, a feature that has been found very helpful to hand and digital artists, Windows Central notes, especially when they use softwares in the likes of Adobe Photoshop and Sketchable.

The report notes that nothing much has been improved in the "tablet" part of Surface Book. However, the tweaks and improvements are all found in the Base, thus the name: Surface Book with Performance Base. This base now has a levelled-up version of dedicated 2GB GDDR5 Nvidia 965M GPU.

Even those who dread laptops with low battery life will really like the new Surface Book. The new version boasts 16 whopping hours of normal usage. All these focus makes critics conclude that with Surface Book and its new Performance Base, users and consumers can see that the tech giant did not just looked into the device capability of turning into a tablet. The company actually focused more on the device being "a laptop" so they can provide better interface and performance, Scoop NZ reports.

Forbes notes that Surface Book's refresh model with a better Performance Base costs a hundred bucks more than the first release. For now, Surface Book stands as the supreme laptop with a lengthy battery life span. The publication also reveals that there are hidden great features the new model has to offer which are less regarded in their ads, such as the new interface tool.
