Fighting video game "Super Smash Bros." is expected to find its way to the hands of Nintendo Switch users, following the announcement by Nintendo insider Laura Dale that the Wii U version of "Super Smash Bros." will be designed to accommodate the NX console. The video game is rumored to be released at the end of 2017.

The Switch version of "Super Smash Bros." will be released by Nintendo within the first six months of the console's launch, which will be available on store shelves in March 2017. According to the website Express, the Switch version of the video game will have the same release date as Bayonetta and Cloud amiibos.

Forbes magazine reported this week that Bandai Namco is planning to introduce several Nintendo Switch-related titles, with one of those being a "Super Smash Bros." port. Sora and Bandai Namco collaborated to develop the game.

Nintendo has no statement yet to corroborate the rumor but there are reports on the delays of various "Super Smash Bros." related Amiibo including the Bayonetta, and Cloud Strife Amiibos. The former Amiibo is a star of a well-regarded franchise by the same name while the latter is a hero of the popular "Final Fantasy" series.

Amiibo is a line of smart figurines inspired by famous Nintendo characters like Mario and Link from "The Legend of Zelda." Gamers must use a Nintendo 3DS or Wii U console to read a chip in the base of each figurine. The content for specific games is revealed by scanning the chip.

There is no report yet if Xbox One and PS4 games will make the jump to also accommodate "Super Smash Bros." There have been talks that not all Xbox One and PS4 games will be ported over. This is because Xbox One and PS4 games might not work on Nintendo Switch.
