HBO is giving a second season to "Westworld" a fantasy drama starred by Anthony Hopkins. The impressively high ratings of "Westworld" comes after a disappointing performance of "Vinyl" as it creates more series to add to the award-winning "Game of Thrones" which might be in its final two seasons starting Season 7 next summer.

The "Westworld" is a robot-meets-west kind of series which yielded a lot of interest among viewers. Casey Bloys, HBO's head of programming told Variety in an interview that the popularity of the show expands across multiple cultures which the ratings are building from, which is considered a great luxury. Moreover, the time and effort that viewers use to investigate "Westworld" are impressive.

The sci-fi "Westworld" series has a budget of $100 million for the first season. Opening on October 2, "Westworld" had almost 2 million viewers that spiked to 3.3 million in total. In fact, the viewers of its debut reached 6 million all in all, including VOD, and other network replays. Episode two garnered 2.7 million, and the "Westworld" has an average of 11.7 million gross viewers, surpassing the first season debut of "Game of Thrones" and "True Detective".

Jimi Simpson who plays William in "Westworld" confirmed that the season one's last episode will be satisfying which will include the current storyline while adding some cliff hangers for "new" scenarios, assuring that viewers will be left thirsting for more by the end of season one.

Back in September, James Marsden who plays Teddy on "Westworld" revealed that the writers and producers have plans of mapping out at least five seasons that may be aired in the next five or six years. But, the bad news is that the next season might air in 2018. Bloys guessed that the next season might be in 2018 as the "Westworld" is too big a world to map out and create a script from.

With three more episodes left to air, "Westworld" will be renewed for another season with 10 episodes in either fall of 2017 or in 2018.
