Goku's Kamehameha generated a great damage to Zamasu. Goku was able to surpass Zamasu's Gigantic ball using the full strength of his Kamehameha. The damage created a deep scar to Zamasu, causing his right face and arm to swollen purple. Then Goku charged to attack but Zamasu was able to counter and grabbed his leg. Goku the charges and used Kaio-Ken bringing Zamasu to the ground and destroyed the halo surrounding him.

After some small talk between Vegeta and Gowasu about the fact that Zamasu was not healing. Gowasu responded stating Zamasu left Goku Black inside his body, and locking him causes his immortality to fade. At this point, Goku raised the idea of merging to Vegeta to match the power of Zamasu, since they are now near victory. Vegeta doubts but later agreed and consumed the Senzu bean and wears the Potara earring. The Potara fusion last for an hour only, and to the relieve of Vegeta they positioned and fused.

When Zamasu closes in to attack Vegito using his Ki-blade to finish Vegito. Vegito was able to counter the attack with a much longer Ki-blade which pierces through the body of Merged Zamasu. Vegito then concludes to Zamasu that he is no longer immortal since Goku Black remains in his body.

Zamasu's plan is to lock Goku Black's body since its the complete prototype of the mistakes of the gods. Goku black has obtained undeniable strength that surpasses the powers of the gods regardless of being mortal. Thus, obtaining Goku Black's body will atone the sins of the mortal and the mistakes of the gods.

Later then, Zamasu begins to cry and stated that his tears will purify this world. He then transformed into a much bigger form. Gowasu understands the reason behind Zamasu's ugly form. He states that the conflicts of Zamasu's emotions caught him the contradictions of gods and mortals.

Bulma arrived on the scene together with Mai and the kids, Haru, and Maki. She was successful in fixing the time machine. Maki returned the broken sword of Tunks. He then produces a Ki-blade then flies off the battlefield.

Zamasu's body turned bulky and causing him to attack slow, thus he can't keep up with the speed of Goku. Vegito fires a Final Kamehameha, then later split back to their individual form. To their surprise, the Potara fusion lasted for 30 mins only, since the powers of Vegito cannot contain the fusion anymore.

Realizing that Vegito split, Zamasu charges to finish them off, but Trunks charges and blocked Zamasu's Ki-Blade using his own. Zamasu accused Trunks of being weak that he cannot solve his own problem. He asked where he will find solace again the past, or the future. But, with the heart of the Saiyan, Trunks replied that he is battling for survival, and that is the point of being human.

Trunks then charge and using the Kis' from Yajirobe, Haru, Maki, and the rest of the refugees, including Goku and Vegeta, and with everyone's power, he channeled this to his sword and sliced Zamasu in half.
