Fifty Shades Darker isn't dodging the sensor bullet as it gets "sexier" this time. The movie, which was based on El James' S&M novels, received an R rating for sexual content and graphic nudity. The Fifty Shades Darker is a sequel that follows the romance of a BDSM-loving businessman named Christian and the wallpaper college student named Ana.

Actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will play the big roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. Others stars are Bella Heathcote, Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson, Robin Lee, Hugh Dancy, Rita Ora, Luke Grimes, Marcia Gay Harden, Elena Lincoln, Eloise Mumford, and Fay Masterson.

Last September, fans were able to take a peek of the steamy scenes of the movie for the very first time after Fifty Shades Darker released its official trailer. Fans enjoyed the steamy shower scene between Christian and Anastasia. Another scene showed the couple getting busy in bed. There were also scenes of fireworks and masquerade ball.

Last year when the rating for the Fifty Shades of Grey was released, it was also given an R rating for "strong sexual content including dialogue, some unusual behavior, and graphic nudity, and for language." It seems like they have dropped the "unusual behavior" which leave some fan disappointed that the movie has mellowed down a bit. But the MPAA said that sequel is definitely sexier than the first, which is why they added "erotic" in its rating.

The movie will continue with their tradition of getting shown on a Valentine's Day weekend. The Fifty Shades Darker will arrive in theaters on February 10, 2017. It is expected to become the biggest blockbuster movie next year. Returning as producers are Dana Brunetti, Michael De Luca, and author E L James. As early as now, there are rumors that the premier for the final movie, the Fifty Shades Freed, will be on February 9, 2018.
