The DCFA is closing their investigation on Brad Pitt's child abuse issue on his son, Maddox. Angelina Jolie, through her representative, released a statement saying that since the decision is out, at least they can now move forward towards healing.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services earlier cleared Brad of the child abuse allegation. This is after an incident in September wherein he was reported to have gone berserk towards Maddox inside their private plane. The said incident also fueled Angelina and Brad to separate ways.

Angelina's representative said, "Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their 8-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal."

As a requisite on the investigation, the couple and some of the children were interviewed. Brad also completed a couple of drug tests; wherein both tested negative.

Furthermore, the representative confirmed that the two camps are brewing a legal agreement, which could finally put an end to all these hullabaloos. Right now, the children are staying with Angelina although Brad was granted with visitation rights.

There were reports in October that both Angelina and Brad had reached a temporary agreement wherein Angelina will enjoy physical custody over their children while Brad is allowed to visit only under the supervision of a therapist. However, the said agreement ended last October 20.

Brad Pitt is keeping his silent, though. Even his representative declined to comment on the issue. During the Q&A for his new movie, Brad would rather beat around the bush. He said that he's thankful for all the support he is getting, but never gave the word regarding the child abuse issue.
