The Walking Dead's Latest Game is an Arcade Shooter

Heads up, Walking Dead fans! The Walking Dead is coming up with an arcade shooting game just for you! Play Mechanix and Raw Thrills have unveiled the Walking Dead Arcade shooting game cabinet!

A flyer was released where it mentions the features of the arcade cabinet. The arcade cabinet used for the game is a re-skinned Jurassic Park cabinet. The designs are not final according to Mechanix.

The cabinet sports a "rear door attraction feature" where it tells the players of zombies attempting to break down a door. The inside of the cabinet sports RGB LED lighting that changes as part of the "follow the action" feature. The light inside changes depending on the action on screen (which is usually a highlighted color). It is more of a light feedback for the players while playing the game. The game also uses a "Thrill-D" sound system that was introduced in Jurassic Park last year. It provides good quality sound that keeps players on their toes when playing.

An authentic crossbow controller is also seen inside which the players can use. It has a unique lever reload mechanism to reload the crossbow. The crossbow has eight arrows players could use before reloading. In the The Walking Dead Arcade Official Trailer, the crossbow can be seen as a primary weapon. Other weapons such as mallets, wrenches, and lances can also be seen in the video.

The zombies in the game sport better graphics than Jurassic Park. Highlights around them make it easier for players to focus on who is their target. This acts out as a feedback for the player. Aside from the graphics, elements inside the game proved that they can now be used to alert or destroy hordes of zombies, much like similar to the Left 4 Dead series. An example of it would be that players can target a large tank that when hit by an attack, it explodes, killing nearby zombie enemies near it.

The Walking Dead arcade is scheduled for release in January 2017 so expect hordes of fans to flock to this arcade and re-live the intensity of AMC's popular zombie series.
