To entice customers back to their products, South Korean tech company Samsung will offer the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 featuring an enlarged display. This development is aimed at blunting the loss the company incurred following the controversy created by its Samsung Galaxy Note 7 flagship phone that triggered a worldwide recall.

According to the website Hot Hardware, the S8 will be available in 5.7-inch and 6.2-inch screen sizes. The current company's S7 and Edge smartphones come with a 5.1- and 5.7-inch screen, respectively. A bezel-less design would give the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 a 90-percent screen-to-body ration.

Scheduled for release in early 2017, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will have an artificial intelligence (AI) functionality, which would be built into the Android operating system. Users need to use their voice to activate the AI to request information. This newly developed AI feature is designed to compete with Siri of Apple and Google Assistant, says University Herald.

The launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has been delayed due to the PR disaster caused by the Galaxy Note 7 controversy. Three days ago, Samsung ran full-page apology ads over the Galaxy Note 7 recall. Addressed to Samsung's customers, the letter is part of an effort to restore some consumer goodwill after the discontinuation of the Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be marketed as a "super-capable" handset. The smartphone is reported to have a 6GB RAM, Exynos 8895 processor, and a 4K resolution. It is expected that Samsung will shift back to removable battery option to prevent the recurrence of the Samsung S7 problem. According to Game & Guide, the S8 will feature a rear dual-camera setup with 16MP and 8MP sensors, upgraded S Pen, and a fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8's 4K display resolution is under the category of ultra-high definition. S8 is also rumored to have an upgraded camera, increased storage, and a high-definition display.
