"Moana" is Disney's new adorable Polynesian princess. While Disney has been ladled with criticism with its racial and image view of princesses, "Moana" is Disney's take on removing stereotypes in its movies. So will this change bring about good news? Critics have already seen the film, and here are the reviews so far. (There will be NO spoilers ahead, so feel free to read!)

"Moana" is appealing to the "ears, eyes, heart, and funny bones," writes Hollywood Reporter. The review adds that it represents contemporary Disney with a vibrantly laid out adventure that brings together modern CG animation, traditional storytelling, radiant characters that are jazzed up by great voice cast. Moreover, "Moana" tunes are as catchy as other Disney top charters of "Frozen."

Disney's film "Moana" is sailing through familiar waters, according to Forbes' review. While it resembles other Disney animated classics, its witty humor, and vibrant storytelling makes it a great film. The critic also adds that the film is crafted from other cultures and comes with a powerful unconventional female-centric myths-making story that Disney has always been able to do as they please.

The Polynesian princess "Moana," according to Variety's film review, is Disney's most remarkable heroines to date. The new Disney character is far from the classic princesses waiting for the prince. She prefers to control her own destiny. The film critic also appreciates the simplicity of the story which differs from the complex narrative of other Disney animated movies.

The film review by Entertainment Weekly states that "Moana" contains the classic Disney adventure feature including a feisty heroine without a love interest, snarky animal sidekicks, and "feel-good" messages. The review concludes that "Moana" makes a great addition to Disney's animation achievements.

On the flip side, however, The Guardian wrote that while Moana's message of knowing who you are makes a meaningful film, the movie lacks the standard Disney has set in "Frozen," Zootopia" and "Big Hero 6." The review concludes that while the new cultural setting is great, the storytelling is somewhat lacking.

Disney's "Moana" will hit theaters on November 23, 2016.
