Good news for all you retro gamers out there! A lot of companies are reviving some nostalgic feats from the past. Nintendo is not an exception for this. This year, Nintendo plans on releasing the NES Classic Edition console in North America on November 11. Japan would receive a Nintendo Classic Mini Family Computer (Famicom) on November 10.

As a celebration, Nintendo will hold a retro event in Rockafeller Center store in New York City on November 10. The event is limited to only the first 250 visitors. The company plans on reliving the 80s, where the "social media" during that time "involves trading passwords and asking for game tips on the school bus."

The NES Classic Edition is a palm-sized video game console that mirrors the original NES console which was originally released in 1985. The console emits nostalgia for adults who used to have a working copy of the NES back in their childhood and to the millennials who wish to experience what the games look like back in the 80s. The NES Classic editions are packed with an HDMI cable, AC Adapter, one controller (you'll have to buy extras for around $10 each) and 30 built-in classic games that you can get to enjoy. Some of the games include:

  • Balloon Fight

  • Castlevania

  • Donkey Kong

  • Donkey Kong Jr.

  • Dr. Mario

  • ExciteBIKE

  • Final Fantasy

  • Galaga

  • Gradius

  • Kid Icarus

  • The Legend of Zelda

  • Mario Bros.

  • Megaman 2

  • Metroid

  • Pac-Man

  • Super Mario Bros series

  • Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

You can see how Nintendo included in the NES Classic console some of the famous classic games for both young and old to enjoy. The NES Classic console goes on sale on November 11 for $59.99.
