So far this season, the Los Angeles Lakers has been playing great offense and defense under new Head Coach Luke Walton. They have exceeded all expectations this season after going 4-4 for 8th in Western Conference. They are 6th in the league in points per game with D'Angelo Russell leading the squad with 15.4 points per game.

According to reports, Los Angeles Lakers and the Orlando Magic are now discussing a deal. This deal is said to send Luol Deng and Julius Randle to the Magic in exchange for Serge Ibaka and Jeff Green.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been fascinated in the services Ibaka has been providing the Orlando Magic and they plan to sign him when he becomes a free agent next summer, if they cannot get him in a deal,  according to iSports Times.

Serge Ibaka has been averaging 13.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in 28 minutes of play this season and Julius Randle this season has been averaging 14.4 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

Let's examine the trade; the two main pieces in this trade will be Serge Ibaka and Julius Randle. The Magic gets a very young and promising forward in Julius Randle, a forward who could be a playmaker for the Magic. The Magic are in a good situation when this trade pulls through since they also have a young and athletic forward in Aaron Gordon. They also get a proven veteran in Luol Deng in this deal. For the Los Angeles Lakers, they get Serge Ibaka, a defensive anchor in the paint and a improved outside shooter. This trade would give the Lakers more experience and improved defense with Serge Ibaka and Jeff Green.

Who do you think will benefit from this trade, the Orlando Magic or the Los Angeles Lakers?
