Are fans in the waiting for another “Match of the century”? Will there be a new amazing win for Pacquiao and the Philipines?

ABC News reports that the Philippine senator Manny Pacquiao has taken to the scales inside the Encore Theater at The Wynn resort. His weight was measured at 144 pounds, which is within the limit of 147 pound category. His adversary Jessie Vargas has been weighted at 146.5 pounds which means that only time keeps the two fighters from meeting on the Vegas arena.

Pacquiao, 37, already the first congressman to win a world title, is aiming to be the first senator to win one. Will he manage to get to it, depends on his preparation, determination and the adversary’s desire for a win.

Even though aged 37, with a ten year difference between him and Jessie Vargas he is not afraid nor is he worried for the fight. Also the difference in their height may show a problem, but as cited by Boxing Junkie, he has faced taller adversaries before and this is also not a problem for him.

Even though he cannot share his strategy at the moment, he is sure in his abilities and believe he can win the fight and even, later on, make a fight with Mayweather to regain the title he had lost to him last year.

His work as a senator is not one that will manage to slow Manny Pacquiao down. He believes that through scheduling and discipline he is completely capable of balancing between his two careers. He is not in it for the money, but for the glory and pride of his country. LA Times shares that Manny Pacquiao has bought out 2,000 seats for the Vegas fight and is giving the tickets freely to his supporters. Manny Pacquiao has been known for donating large sums of his earning to charity and the people in need in his home country.

The fight between Manny Pacquiao‬ and ‪Jessie Vargas has been scheduled for 5 November.‬
