"Outlander" Season 3 is based on Diana Gabaldon's book Voyager. This season will have more intimate scenes from Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jaime (Sam Heughan) as they reunite after several years at a print shop.

In a report from Vanity Fair, it is revealed that Diana Gabaldon ends her "Outlander" book series with 10 books in total. Season 3 is just the third book and in the series, it follows the events right after the end of Season 2.

It can be recalled that "Outlander" Season 2 concluded with Claire and Jaime to be on their own separate ways. Claire goes back to her husband in the present times while Jaime remains and fights at the Battle of Culloden.

Balfe shares in the same report that "Outlander" Season 3 has amazingly been part of each viewer's lives. The characters give fans something to look forward to. She also added that the series has been intense and that based on the books, these characters may grow old with their love.

Meanwhile, a report in CSN indicates that with Claire's and Jaime's chemistry on screen it is rumored that the two are dating in real life. However, the rumor has been confirmed by Balfe to be not true. She is grateful for the chemistry which is working for the couple on TV. They are already filming "Outlander" Season 3 but on separate locations because of the storyline.

It seems that the first few scenes of "Outlander" Season 3 will find the couple separated from each other. However, a much anticipated scene would be the one at the print shop where they meet again after 20 long years.

It already has been reported by News Everyday that Jaime survives the Battle of Culloden in Outlander Season 3. Additionally this upcoming season will also bring the reunion of Jaime and their daughter, Brianna (Sophie Skelton). "Outlander" Season 3 is set to air in 2017.
