As fans have discovered to what extent Sybil controls Damon and Enzo (Michael Malarkey), viewers have discovered that Damon still had memories of Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). However, Sybil found out about his "shred of humanity" and replaced the image of meeting Elena with herself. This changes what Damon remembers and what kind of person he is. Damon is now completely out of control and doubtfully has a chance to be saved.

As recapped by Inquisitr, Enzo, on the other hand, keeps fighting. Unfortunately, it is what led to Sarah Salvatore's death and has put Bonnie in danger as well. In a promo clip that was released for Season 8, Episode 3, Sybil demands Enzo's true love be eliminated that makes Bonnie to possible die this season. However, a sneak peek reveals that Bonnie might be safe for now.

In the sneak peek, Stefan arrives to meet Damon, who happens to be sharpening a stick, transforming it into a stake. Damon says that he wants to tell Stefan what is going on. However, Sybil's control is just too strong and she prevents the words from coming out of his mouth.

Although the siren does possess this kind of power, Damon's eyes and face tell a different story. He seems to be luring Stefan in order to get something accomplished. Next, Damon says he needs Stefan's help and opens the car trunk.

Holding a stake in one hand, he denies that it has to do with killing Bonnie. But who is in the trunk, and why does Damon need Stefan's help to commit murder? Fans speculate that it might be Enzo, who has his eyes closed and hands bound.

Another video clip for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Episode 3, reveals that an artifact resembling a pitchfork is being investigated by Alaric and Georgie. The intern believes it was made in Hell. Could it be the key to saving Damon and Enzo? Does this object have the power to kill or make Sybil powerless, forcing her back into the Armory's vault? Find out on November 4 when "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, Episode 3, airs on The CW network.
