Marvel’s ‘The Defenders’ Updates, Plot, Release Date; Confirms Three New ‘Epic’ Characters

Marvel's "The Defenders" is a comic book inspired story that is creating a bit of a buzz lately. With the recent teaser, new characters have been revealed, and the entire cast is slowly taking shape, which created more excitement for avid fans.

Marvel's "The Defenders" is shaping up to be an incredible new addition to Netflix original series. So far, it has already revealed a few known celebrities from other well-known movies and series alike. "The Defenders is an ensemble series that features Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand (Finn Jones) forming their own superhero team," reports IGN.Com. In addition to that, Sigourney Weaver will also play a villain, but no specifics have been revealed on the character just yet.

Newest Update: On November 2, Marvel officially announced Rosario Dawson who will play Claire Temple, Carrie-Ann Moss playing Jeri Hogarth, and Rachel Taylor who will play Trish Walker. Additional three stars are confirmed cast members: Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, and Eka Darville.

Netflix also revealed on Monday that Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) from the "Daredevil" series along with Misty Knight (Simone Missk) from the "Luke Cage" series is joining the mini-series.

"The Defenders" series features a superhero team with one ultimate goal: saving New York City. The story revolves around 4 characters, with each his/her own struggles, that were brought together by a twist of fate, later on realizing that they are better teamed together.
