Fans boycott “Criminal Minds” series, as Thomas Gibson (Hotch) has been fired from the series. After what was described as “direct assault” from Gibson against a writer and producer of the series, the actor has been immediately released from his contract with CBS and will not be present in the series to come.

Fans expected Hotch’s death in “Criminal Minds” Season 12 Episode 4, but it did not happen, mostly because episode was written long before the release of the actor, Inquisitr reports. Fans have shown a lot of support towards their favorite actor and some of them have started the “#NOHOTCHNOWATCH” campaign through Twitter and other social platforms.l

CBS has suffered a major viewer loss on “Criminal Minds”, since Hotchner’s disappearance had been announced, Moring News USA shares. Fans have declined watching the series and have been widely boycotting them through social platforms through a series of trending hash tags. CBS have not yet given an official answer to any of the trending canals, but it is speculated that to keep the machine working properly, they will have to consider brining Thomas Gibson back into the cast of the series.

Viewers complain that with the disappearance of the character, a void has been left and it makes the series seem not as good as they were before the actor’s departure.

There are rumors that Erica Messer is working on a special episode, in which the character of Hotchner will be able to have his final farewell with cast and audience. What exactly is the date of this awaited episode it is unsure, just as unsure is the method of which they will dispose of the character. Whether he will be killed, transferred or something else, it is still unknown, but writers should really work good on it, if they plan on keeping the decade running series on the air.
