Aside from space crafts, Tesla has been known for its electronic luxury cars. One of the most-anticipated electronic luxury car designs is that of Tesla Model 3.

The company is reportedly about to gain a great amount of profit once Tesla Model 3 will be released. Just recently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that they have already gained about 400,000 pre-orders for Tesla Model 3, Vine Report says.

In a recent report by Fortune, it was stated that Tesla has gained $21.9 million net income during the third quarter (which ended on September 30). The preorders have helped the company keep their balance in their ongoing expenses for Tesla Model 3.

This is quite a huge gain compared to the company's loss a year ago in the same period. Tesla reportedly lost around $229.9 million. Therefore, their total revenue this year has doubled, totaling to about $2.3 billion.

CEO Elon Musk also said that Tesla Model 3 might be ready for release by the second half of year 2017. The introductory price of Tesla Model 3 is at $35,000. This is very far from the introductory price of the previous release - the Model S sedan - which was priced at $134,500.

Wall Street Journal quotes CEO Elon Musk during his speech at Universal Studios in Los Angeles when he said: "People always think of Tesla as an electric-car company, but really the whole point of Tesla was to accelerate the advent of sustainable energy."

Aside from electronic cars, Tesla also hopes to create four glass roof tiles with sustainable energy capability such as one that resembles a French slate roof; an American-style tile, contemporary designed roof tile; and a roofing material which resembles Italian terra-cotta Tuscan tile. These plans are part of Elon Musk's strategies for Tesla and SolarCity merger developments which he also hopes to work very well.
