"Bones" Season 12 is the final season of the series and has finally been given an air date. The season has 12 episodes and is titled 'Bones: The Final Chapter.'

According to MovieFone, "Bones" Season 12 has a wedding coming up and familiar faces also join the show. It also reveals a romantic relationship from past lovers. The relationship of Booth (David Boreanaz) and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will be challenged in this final season.

"Bones" Season 12 also introduces new characters and a new investigation of a murder will take place. This last chapter of the series is said to be the longest chapter for the show. The series will reveal the serial killer in this last season.

Deadline reports that "Bones" Season 12 was originally scheduled to air on Thursdays at 9pm. Just recently the schedule has been changed due to a new baseball drama titled 'Pitch.' The series now is moved to Tuesdays at 9 pm.

In the same report, Executive Producer Hart Hanson shares that the team is proud of the series. It started with the premiere season titled 'The Little Engine That Could.' He added that "Bones" Season 12 is a great storyline and definitely a good one to end the show.

The report from Screen Rant states that Bones has been based from the works of forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. The cases are worked on by Booth and Brennan in the series and have been going on for more than a decade.

Booth and Brennan have been working together in the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington D.C in "Bones." After all the years of working together, they ended up getting married and now have a child. There are more changes with their lives as a couple in the show for the years that passed on the series.

Finally, fans and followers can expect "Bones" Season 12 to air on January 3, 2017.
