Telltale Games confirmed that there will be a third season of "The Walking Dead" video game during San Diego Comic Con on 26 July 2014, much to the excitement of its fans. The game is set to premiere this November, Telltale Games announced at its PAX panel last September.

The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games appeared at a San Diego Comic-Con panel to reveal some new images and details about the upcoming Season 3. We now know that players will control two different characters and be introduced to a familiar face.

One of the playable characters is series protagonist Clementine, who has aged a few years since Season 2. Players will be able to switch simultaneously between her and new character Javier.

Javier is described as a survivor that's "currently struggling to keep his family together in the face of the undead apocalypse," according to Game Spot. Creators added that players will see more connection to the comics in the upcoming season as well.

"I think, similar to the "Michonne" series, there will probably be some more comic book elements that will be working into things in some interesting ways," a spokesperson explained. "I don't want to reveal too much, but it'll definitely go hand in hand with the comics a little bit more than season two did."

A "Season Pass Disc" for PS4 and Xbox One will be available for purchase, in addition to digital copies. You'll still need an internet connection, as the disc only includes the first episode and requires you to download the rest of them. No specific release date was announced for the first episode.

The Walking Dead: Season Three comes to PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, and mobile platforms in November. The third season was reported to feature the same formula as past games in the series.
