New accusations have been raised which are believed to be the key reason as to why investigations on Brad Pitt for child abuse have been extended by Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services investigators.

The initial allegations began when Brad Pitt is said to have been in an altercation with the family’s oldest child Maddox Jolie-Pitt while they were on their private plane on September 15 that was flying to L.A from Europe, reports E Online. Maddox had not seen his father for a month, and was allegedly still mad at him, preferring to stay with his mother Angelina Jolie during visits to Brad’s. as part of a temporary custody agreement signed by the couple, Angelina Jolie was granted full custody of the children whereas Brad Pitt was given visitation rights.

The FBI are believed to have conducted interviews involving any possible witnesses when they visited Angelina Jolie’s Malibu residence the previous week. They are also believed to have, whilst at Jolie’s residence, been searching to find if there was any evidence that would or would not substantiate the child abuse claims.

An article by Perez Hilton alleged that Angelina Jolie and the rest of the family will be questioned during this extended period by the DCFS as part of their thorough investigation. The DCFS investigators reported that they needed more time to determine whether there was pattern of abuse or if it was simply a rare incident. They cautioned against making assumptions and told reporters that their findings would not affect the custody of Brad and Angelina’s kids in addition to their divorce. They would write up their findings which would be sent to the U.S District Attorney for evaluation.

According to US Magazine, a source revealed that Brad Pitt took the child abuse claims very seriously and was cooperating fully with authorities in the investigations. This source also revealed that the claims were “inaccurate” and exaggerated. The 41 year old actress Angelina Jolie filed divorce from 52 year old Brad Pitt on the 19th of September. Angelina revealed that she believed the agreement would not last as the two parents would, for their children’s sake, co-parent to provide a stable and happy future for them.

An insider also said that it was not the intention of Angelina to “poison” the children against their father. In fact, she was eager for them to regain a healthy relationship with their father once all the divorce mess was cleared and they were safe from any adverse effect.
