The latest confirmation from Microsoft suggests that "Xbox Scorpio" or "Project Scorpio" is making an amazing progress in its development. Xbox boss Phil Spencer confirmed the update to its audience while he was attending a daylong meeting for the latest console from Microsoft. The gaming console is scheduled for 2017 holiday season release.

"I am in a full day review on where the Xbox Scorpio team right now," Spencer said while responding to a question that if there is an early release can be expected. "Xbox Scorpio is making amazing progress and we are finding good with the schedule," reports Game Spot. "There is more time to go, but we are happy how the things are coming together," he added.

"We expect both Xbox One S and Xbox Scorpio can be made available in the market together, but there will have a clear performance difference and hence there is a price difference as well," Spencer further said. "But I want everyone to understand that we are selling a premium console in the market and it would cost you a couple of thousand dollars or something."

Xbox Scorpio is coming with a tag line called "The most powerful console ever", considering its specifications including its graphic processors. Spencer classified the gaming console as "premium". The graphic processors of Xbox Scorpio are announced to be staggering 6 TFLOPs and it is a great improvement from Xbox One. It is also claiming to be the first True 4K resolution gaming console that comes to the market, cited by Expert Reviews.

Xbox Scorpio can play the games of Xbox One better, however, Xbox One can't play the former's games in it, reported by Alphr. It is reported that the console would be working on a new hardware platform. Also, the Xbox platform and PC platform are getting integrated per the recent developments.

It is also expected to come Virtual Reality compatible like PlayStation VR, considering the hype of VR headsets. It can be concluded that Oculus would be making or helping with VR headsets to be used in the console, as both of them are working together from the early days of Xbox Scorpio.
