The Uber's Otto unit has promoted a new shipment modality with a commercial delivery made in Colorado highway from Fort Collins, Colo., to Colorado Springs using a self- driving truck in collaboration with Anheuser-Busch InBev the Budweiser beer owner and distributor company to deliver this special load. An act considered by them like the world's first such commercial delivery.

Uber's autonomous vehicle of 18 wheels with no driver in front during the whole stunt and full of brand's beer just like a normal tractor trailer cruised and about of 120 miles with a police cruised in tow relates the fact, according to Bloomberg Technology .

This new successful acquisition of Uber took place in July, with the conviction of showing the capability of the self-driving unit group (Otto's unit) on having the foundation to try it on the highway but with the intention to improve and continue the developing process required about hardware and software stages indicated by Lion Ron co-founder of Otto to an interview given for the press.

To make this amazing experience possible relates the team members that Otto Uber truck, they spent about two weeks mapping the driving route in Colorado selected by the deliver, to guarantee the response of the system at the moment of shipment.

But regardless the many criticisms that Uber Otto received about the possible substitution of work labor the stability of actual truck drivers. The formal company considers that always will be necessary the eye of a person looking and tracking the progress.

But like Anheuser-Busch company that delivers more than a million truckloads of beer a year mentions the NY Times ,Uber's Otto self-driving, is the future and they want to be part of it. So this big stunt as most call apparently doesn't look that convenient for the temporary front passenger.
