ET Canada reports that McNulty is the best one for the role of Anne in "Anne of Green Gables" reboot. McNulty auditioned for the role online in her Donegal home. This has been worth a try for the actress since she has won the role over several others who auditioned.

McNulty shares in the report that she is fit for the role since she has a lot of similarities with the character for "Anne of Green Gables" reboot. She has described the character to be bold outside yet gentle inside.

Showrunner Walley-Beckett for "Anne of Green Gables" who also has written 'Breaking Bad' shares that this reboot is a much grounded one. The reason for that is because it is set on the island where the original film has been set.

The story also is near to real life because of the life in Prince Edward Island. "Anne of Green Gables" shows of the reality of being in a messy life and not the life of luxury.
