Everyone must know who Elon Musk is. He co-founded Tesla and is the founder and CEO of SpaceX. He must also be remembered for he plans, a long-term plan, to transport a million of settlers in Mars.

Shocking as it may sound, it is true. In "Ask Me Anything" session on Reddit's SpaceX discussion forum, it was revealed as stated in a Geek Wire article, that it is indeed Musk's plan.

Before people can settle in Mars the question is how will the people go there. A new technology is being tested to know the capability and the needed changes to be done to make sure everything will go according to plan. According to CNET's article Musk said that the "Early tests are promising".

The technology is not all about the thing that will carry all the settlers to be transported, the fuel tanks needed to run the technology are also being tested.

The whole SpaceX's Interplanetary Transport System is a big leap as it combines science with technology plus, let's not forget, space. The whole system, according to TechCrunch, consists of a booster and a spaceship. It is composed of complicated, both technological and scientific, thinking.

The ITS spaceship can handle 10 to 15 g without breaking up. During the Reddit AMA, questions about the major challenges arise regarding this venture towards Mars.

Musk said that the biggest challenge would be the materials, finding the right materials is a challenge. Scientist and people who are experts in technology can relate and would know that it is difficult to find the right one to make sure that the result will be the best one and the right one.

Elon Musk is already moving forward in achieving the perfect Interplanetary Transport System and in the coming decades his plan of building a metropolis in Mars won't be that far.
