Everyone knows that lots of counterfeit Apple goods are being sold around the world but it came as a shock to know that Amazon is selling them too as people tends to trust the items listed in it. Amazon, the online retailer of the fake Apple Chargers, informed Apple that most of the charger came from the source Mobile Star LLC.

According to engadget, Amazon said to 9to5mac that they have zero tolerance for the sale of counterfeits and the company works with the manufacturers and brands closely and that they will aggressively pursue wrongdoers. The imprinted Apple logos were said to have been done by Mobile Star as stated by Apple according to Popular Mechanics.

The whole revelation came out on Monday upon the federal lawsuit filed by Apple against the company. The details of the lawsuit was posted by Patently Apple in which it was stated that Cupertino tested 100 lightning cables and charges over nine months according to engadget.

Fortunate for Amazon the said online retailer wasn't named in the suit. There is no response from Mobile Star of the voice mail that is seeking comment about the issue.

Fake chargers and cables can post harm to users which can cause fire and electrocution. According to engadget, Apple clearly stressed out that it is dangerous as it might not have undergone proper consumer safety test and may have been improperly designed.
