Since the release of Pokémon GO, it has become a global success. From being just a film adaptation game that can be played in Nintendo devices, releasing a mobile version allowed fans of all ages to experience how it feels to become a Pokémon master. Surely, the news of Pokémon GO Gen 2 is exciting all Poke-fanatics. So, what are these exciting improvements?

In an article by The Verge, Niantic hinted that they will include breeding and PokeStop upgrades, and they will be adding more Pokémon. Here are some Pokémon to stock up on when the game updates:

  • Zubat - Crobat
  • Oddish - Bellossom
  • Horsea - Kingdra
  • Poliwag - Politoed
  • Slowpoke - Slowking
  • Onix - Steelix
  • Scyther - Scizor
  • Porygon - Porygon 2
  • Chansey - Blissey

Another popular addition to Pokémon GO Gen 2 are the legendary birds: Articuno, Molters, and Zapdos. Most trainers haven't seen these legendary birds until now. Another new character is Pichu, the baby version of Pikachu. There are also rumors saying that alien-like creatures will be added in the game.

Game experts believe say that Niantic Labs will add new battles in the new update. Gamers like the idea of having battle mode where trainers can fight against chosen opponents. This kind of update will surely make the game more challenging. Pokémon GO Gen 2 will also feature a trading system, which will finally allow trainers to trade Pokémon with other players.

Raza Ahmad, a Pokémon GO member confirmed that the release of a second-generation game would happen especially that the game is still fairly new. The team's primary goal is to create a gaming community based on the "principles of augmented reality."
