"Rick and Morty" co-creator Dan Harmon broke the news to fans that the highly anticipated third installment is airing on December. The show creators claimed that the third season will be unlike the two previous seasons. New characters will also join Rick and Morty.

Mr. Poopy Butthole correctly predicted when "Rick and Morty" season 3 will come. On October 2015, Mr. Poopy said that the third season will come a year and half later. The December air date proved that he was right all along. Another character coming is Mrs. Sanchez - Ricks's ex-Wife, according to fabnewz. She will also bring along Evil Morty. More characters will be revealed soon as the air dates come closer.

Mrs. Sanchez will reportedly cause a lot of emotional turmoil and mental anguish when she makes her appearance. Harmon also said that they want to clear up all the unresolved issues from the previous season. He said that "Rick and Morty" season 3 will focus more on new ideas. The previous season ended in which is locked up in prison. His family have no idea where he is. They also assumed that he had left them for good.

The first episode of "Rick and Morty" season 3 will start with Morty rescuing Rick from prison. However, Harmon would not tell how exactly would this happen. But it's presumed that issue would be resolved in the third season premier.

"Rick and Morty" season 3 will air on December 2016. The upcoming season will also have a total of 14 episodes. The show's growing popularity probably prompted the creators to add more episodes this season.
