'Supernatural' Season 12 Episode 2 Spoilers & Updates: Will Mary Die? Lucifer As The Rock Star Rick Springfield.
Episode 2 in Season 12 of "Supernatural" may just hold a harrowing tale for the Winchester family as they race against time to save Sam. Dean will reveal a little seen side to him as he becomes over protective of his mother (Mary) over the fear that he will lose her, a possibility that is real enough to be concerning.
Sam remains under the grasp of Lady Toni who seeks to get information out of the Winchester brother. Including using torture. She'd better watch out though, as Mary isn't going to let anything stand in the way of a family reunion long overdue. Time is running out for Sam though, will they be able to make it in time?
Crowley receives information that could just pinpoint the location of Lucifer. Apparently, the Fallen Angel resides in the body of a rock star. Fans will be pleased to hear this news as Rick Springfield was penned to play a part in Season 12 of "Supernatural", something that many looked forward to. Already, it was confirmed that Lucifer will take and use his body while Sam remains trapped by the Men of Letters.
According to Melty, the vulnerability of Lucifer will set precedence for another mother and son pair, Rowena and Crowley, to team up and defeat the Fallen Angel once and for all all the while setting in motion their own inner agendas. "Supernatural" fans will remember that because of his overwhelming power, Lucifer cannot remain in the bodies of most mortals for extended periods of time as it starts to be destroyed and this time he will take on that of Vince Vicente.
The demonic team aren't the only ones hunting the Morningstar however as Castiel is also going to be aiming to defeat him as well. This is as repentance for letting Lucifer escape the cage using his body in season 11. Also as revenge for what Lucifer did using his body. This sets up the possibility that Crowley and Castiel might team up to take Lucifer down, seeing they have teamed up before.
Meanwhile, It is expected that Lucifer will be enjoying his time as a rock star. He will take pleasure in the adoring fans, the music, and all the perks that come with inhabiting the body of a celebrity icon. Unfortunately, and predictably, he will not have long to enjoy these benefits and will eventually have to move on to another meat suit. One can speculate on what the next body will be. Maybe a President? Or perhaps a wrestler? Or even a gorgeous model? Fans will just have to wait and see, but in the meantime they get to enjoy watching Rick Springfield as he becomes the King of Rock, literally and figuratively.
