Shannen Doherty Celebrates 5-Year Wedding Anniversary Despite Battling Cancer
Shannen Doherty's Instagram photos earned thousands of likes for sharing with followers her escapade in Mexico to celebrate her fifth-year wedding anniversary with husband Kurt Iswarienko on October 15, 2016. The TV actress, who has been recently diagnosed with breast cancer, appeared happy and appreciative on her photos.
Doherty, who played Prue Halliwell in a popular, yet now defunct TV Show "Charmed," revealed her breast cancer, which was diagnosed in March 2015, has spread to her lymphatic system, in an interview with ET Online on August 01, 2016. On her Instagram account, Doherty hinted the special thing about the place: “The food scene is on fire here, history, charm . . . I’ts got it all including childhood memories for @kurtiswarienko who lived here when he was a kid.”

In a subsequent Shannen Doherty Instagram photo showing a playful scenario with a zebra, she wrote: "5 years ago today, I made one of the best decisions of my life. I said "I do" and married my best friend and soul mate @kurtiswarienko." Kurt Iswarienko is a photographer and the two got married in Malibu.
Doherty summed up the recent happenings in her life and continued on her caption: "Life has thrown us some huge curves and we have faced them together with strength, love, passion and a desire to stand next to one another thru it all."
"I have learned what partnership truly is with this man. Yes, we love to travel and have adventures together like today . . . Hanging out with Vicky the zebra, but everyday is an adventure with Kurt regardless of where we are and what we are doing," Doherty, who began acting at age 11, concluded her caption.
